KATRINA PALLON is a visual artist whose strong imagery and conceptual vocabulary inspired distinctive paintings and drawings using a variety of mediums. She has carved a name for herself in the Philippine art scene for her creative pieces that embody the beauty of Pan-Asian culture. Influenced by her solo sojourns across the continent, Katrina injects her work with exotic imageries and breathtaking patterns that immortalizes the mystical quality that form the essence of the East. She also works as an illustrator, book and graphic designer.
A Magna Cum Laude graduate from the University of the Philippines-Diliman, Katrina Pallon holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communication. Known for her maximalist style heavily influenced by the intricacies of Viennese and French art nouveau, her paintings, illustrations, and photographs reflect her strong affinity for elaborate designs and love for elevating even the simplest of subjects through her meticulous attention to detail. Specializing in portraying cultural hybridism that weave into the unified fairy tale that denotes the history of Asia, Katrina fuses feminine subjects that enthrall viewers for its dark, melancholic and almost ethereal figures depicted amidst a backdrop of stunning oriental motifs and exquisite blooms crafted in warm and vivid tones.
Katrina has actively exhibited under private art galleries and public group exhibitions in venues around the metro including Altro Mondo Arte Contemporanea, LRI Art Pavilion, Artasia Gallery, Vinyl on Vinyl, Secret Fresh, Art Elements Asian Gallery, Art Anton, and Art Underground; and recently at Artexpo New York.
